Cationic Polymer (ক্যাটায়নিক পলিমার) | High-Performance Water Treatment Flocculant for ETP, Wastewater Treatment & Sludge Dewatering
Pack Size:
Cationic Polymer is a high-performance water-treatment polymer widely used as a flocculant and sludge-conditioning agent in ETP, STP, industrial wastewater treatment, and sludge dewatering applications. Its positive charge helps attract and bind negatively charged suspended particles, forming larger and stronger flocs that can be separated more efficiently.

Cationic Polymer is a water-soluble polymer commonly used in wastewater treatment, sludge conditioning, coagulation/flocculation, and solid-liquid separation processes. It is particularly effective for treating wastewater and sludge containing negatively charged organic and inorganic particles.
When added to wastewater, the positively charged polymer interacts with negatively charged suspended particles and colloids. This promotes charge neutralization and particle bridging, causing fine particles to aggregate into larger flocs. These flocs can then be removed through sedimentation, flotation, filtration, or mechanical dewatering.
Cationic Polymers are widely used in ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), STP (Sewage Treatment Plant), sludge dewatering, textile wastewater treatment, paper and pulp industries, food-processing wastewater, municipal wastewater, and various industrial treatment processes.
Depending on the application, Cationic Polymer may be supplied in different charge densities, molecular weights, and physical forms, such as powder or liquid/emulsion. Selecting the correct grade is essential because polymer performance depends strongly on wastewater chemistry, pH, solids concentration, and the type of sludge being treated.
For commercial wastewater-treatment applications, jar testing and laboratory trials should be performed to determine the optimum polymer type and dosage before full-scale application.

How Cationic Polymer Works
The basic mechanism involves two major effects:
Many suspended particles in wastewater have a negative surface charge. The positively charged polymer helps reduce this repulsion.
Polymer chains attach to multiple particles and bring them together, producing larger and stronger flocs.
These flocs can then be removed more easily through:
Sedimentation → Filtration → Flotation → Dewatering
